Productivity growth in Canada
Abstract
Productivity growth in Canada, a completely revamped version of Aggregate productivity
measures, is the new Statistics Canada's flagship on productivity measures and
analysis of Canadian industries. This new publication, while more oriented toward
an analytical content, also provides some stylized facts on productivity in
Canada. In addition to several papers that address productivity issues at the
plant level, the industry level and the macro level, the publication also investigates
the structures of investment in Canada and an exploratory study on the importance
of scale economies and fixity of capital in the measurement of the productivity
of manufacturing industries.
